crafting in class

At Claiborne Christian Preschool, we are proud to implement the Frog Street Curriculum across all of our classrooms to ensure every child receives meaningful, developmentally appropriate learning experiences. This research-based curriculum is designed to support children at every stage of growth—from language development and social-emotional learning to fine motor skills and early cognitive development. By intentionally planning activities that align with developmental milestones, our teachers are able to nurture curiosity, creativity, and confidence in each of our students.

Recently, the students in Ms. Hannah’s Little Learners classroom had the opportunity to explore one of their favorite themes—crawling insects! As part of their hands-on learning experience, the children created their very own take-home bugs using craft materials such as egg cartons, paper strips, and fun decorative pieces. While painting and assembling their creations, the students practiced important fine motor skills, creativity, and following multi-step directions. Activities like this allow children to actively engage with the lesson while building important developmental foundations.

The Frog Street approach emphasizes learning through exploration, play, and meaningful interaction with teachers and peers. Through engaging projects like these bug creations, our students are not only learning about the world around them but also developing the skills they need to thrive socially, emotionally, and academically.

We love watching our Tiny Tots, Little Learners and Discovery Club students discover new interests and proudly share their creations with their families! 🐞🐛🦋
